Zicong Zhang
latest update: Dec 22th, 2025
Hi! I’m Zicong Zhang, a third-year student majoring in Computer Science, from John Hopcroft Class, Zhiyuan College, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. I’m currently a research intern at MSRA advised by Yifan Yang. And I was fortunate to be advised by Prof. Weiran Huang in SJTU MIFA Lab.
I’m broadly interested in building Versatile, Intelligent, Ever-Learning Agents that can continuously learn and reason across vision, language, and real-world environment. My research focuses now lies in but not limited to these mutually reinforcing themes:
-
Multimodal Understanding & Reasoning : unifying vision-language representations with chain-of-thought and tool-augmented reasoning
-
Tool-Integrated Learning : training models to acquire, compose and refine tool-use strategies in complicated, open-world settings
-
Continual & Transferable Learning : enabling agents to merge new knowledge with prior skills while mitigating forgetting, and to generalize zero-shot to novel tasks and human preferences
I’m looking for an on-site 26 summer research position !
